This month's show
Joshua Vance "The Essentials: True American Art" in the blue room, Emil Walton "New
Beginning" in the red room, and the JCTC student group show in the yellow room.

Tim Faulkner Gallery presents Joshua Vance "The Essentials: True American Art" and Emil
Walton "New Beginning". Joshua's show is a celebration of the pioneers and visionaries
that revolutionized the early twentieth-century jazz movement. Borne from the Great
depression, these artists represent the quintessential American story that defined an entire
genre of sound and creativity. This collection is the raw, visceral imagery, that captures
each jazz artist on their distinctive vintage LP covers , evoking an unpolished urgency too
often missing in contemporary photography. Each image is a journey, and each journey is
uniquely an American artist's life , a life's moment captured in time...
Emil's show is a new beginning for him; he experimented with metal, a blowtorch, and floor
polish to create some incredible abstract art. Emil's been in the Louisville art scene for 2
years and is mostly known for his socio-political work.
We are also hosting a student group show from JCTC. Please join us Friday, March 5th to
celebrate the gallery's grand re-opening, for we have acquired three new rooms that are
freshly painted, and to celebrate fantastic Louisville art! Hope to see you there!
